our basic beliefs
JESUS is GOD!
At Apostolic Church, Jesus is God! In John 14:9, Jesus asks Phillip why he didn't yet know him even though they had known each other for a while. Then Jesus told Phillip that if you have seen Jesus, you have seen the Father. If Phillip had to know that Jesus is the Father, as believers we also should know who He is.
Repentance and Baptism.
Repentance is important! When we come to the Lord to admit our sins, not only are we admitting out faults, but we need to be trying to omit the sin in our lives. In Matthew 28:19, Jesus says to be baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. In Acts 2:38, Peter affirms for us what name that is when he states to repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus for remission of sins. In Acts 19, Paul finds people who were baptized, but not in the name of Jesus. Paul re-baptized those people in the name of Jesus. Jesus name baptism is important.
Filled with the Holy Ghost
In Acts 2:1-4, the Bible shows the account of the promise of the Holy Ghost given. When the Holy Ghost came, they all spake with tongues as the Spirit gave utterance. Ever since then, the Bible has demonstrated that when someone receives the Holy Ghost, the speak with other tongues (Acts 10, Acts 19). At Apostolic Church, we have experienced the Holy Ghost and we feel that if it was good enough for the first church, its good enough for us!
